client information

Now that you have booked a session, please read through the following information, and fill out the intake form. You can either bring the filled out intake form to our session or email me

  • Please park in the driveway, in front of the right side garage door and wait in your car until I wave at you or you may wait on the front porch.

  • My driveway to my front door is uneven grass and flagstone rock stepping stones.

    • Stairs: There are two steps with no railing to get to the porch landing/ front door. My office is in the basement of my home, and we move through the living room and down one flight of stairs with one railing to get to the treatment room.

    • There is a bathroom on the first floor for you to use if you need.

    • I have an electric treatment table that I can raise and lower as needed.

    • I usually have a pillow underneath your knees, but have other pillows available if needed.

  • Masks are now optional during your session. If you have a fever or other covid symptoms, please reschedule your appointment.

Please wear loose fitting, comfortable clothes, (please no jeans). Something similar to what you would wear to the gym works well.

You will remain clothed for the session, and the majority of your session will be lying down on your back.

  • The fee is $185 for the evaluation, and follow-ups are $150 for an hour, and for infants $75 for 30 minutes.

The Safe and Sound Protocol fee is a one time fee of $200 if integrating with hands on sessions and a one time fee of $300 for virtual sessions. This includes the evaluation, instruction, check ins, and access to the Unyte platform for 3 months.

I take cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle. I currently do not take credit cards. I do not accept insurance.

Your cancelled check or Venmo/Zelle confirmation is your receipt for payment.

If you require a receipt from me for cash payments, insurance reimbursement submissions for out of network physical therapy benefits (I do NOT submit for insurance) or FSA/HSA (flexible spending account/ health savings account) reimbursement, or an annual appointment summary for tax purposes, please use this form to request a receipt from me:

Jen MPT CST Receipt Request Form.

  • The best way to schedule and manage your appointments with me is via text at 508-932-3086.

If you prefer not to text, please email me at jen@jenniferrichardslittle.com with any scheduling issues. I am not always available by phone, but if you prefer to call me, please leave a message and know that there may be a lag in getting a response. I will usually respond to you in the format in which you reach out to me within 24-48 hours.

Finally, I just want you to know that my schedule is very booked, so I may or may not have the flexibility to accommodate schedule changes. Please try to stay 3-6 months ahead in booking your appointments, so that you can get the days and times that are best for you.

Please also remember that there is a 24 hour cancellation policy, and you will be billed the full amount of the appointment for last minute cancellations. I try to text an appointment reminder the day before, but ultimately it is your responsibility to know when you have appointments. However, there is no fee for cancellations due to illness. Oh – and PLEASE do not give your appointment to a family member or friend without checking with me first.

  • These are the TWO forms of email communication you will receive from me:

    1. Emails about my 1:1 client practice.

Please do not unsubscribe from this list unless you no longer plan on seeing me in person. These messages are about my in-person practice and may impact our work together. I send very few emails to this list, and it is essential that you receive them.

    2. Emails to help you.

I think of these emails as a small breather for your inbox. In them, you’ll receive mini moments of calm and joy, and an opportunity to re-center and get grounded. You will also receive special surprises or opportunities, such as early access to sign up for my online course Energy Body Academy.

If you wish to edit your name or your email preferences, there is a “update your profile” link at the bottom of every email.

  • This is a place where you can feel safe to do the deep healing work you need to do, as I help support your tissues.

    • My job is to figure out what’s stuck in your system, and then help it to move. The body can become stuck through physical injury, emotional or spiritual trauma, postural habits, or get stuck in an inflammatory reaction pattern because of infection, disease, or food sensitivities. All those things are like sticks in a drainage culvert clogging up the water flow and contributing to your pain. As we clean the sticks out, things can flow freely.

    • At some point in our time together, we’ll likely address all the different contributing factors that are leading to the dysfunction in your body. Our sessions will likely feel like a combination of traditional PT, life coaching, a few nutritional suggestions thrown in to amplify your healing process, and a place of deep rest. It all depends on what your body is asking for that day. But with each area we address, it’s like clearing out another stick clogging the drain.

    • I approach each session with this question: “Where does your body need to go today?” I have an overall vision of what normal tissue mechanics feel like, and I compare that to what I feel in my hands, but overall, I do not enter each session with a specific agenda of what we will do that day. I like to think of it this way: I am the library you come to, and I have all kinds of books filled with information and techniques. Your body picks out the book it needs for that day’s session. We may or may not do the same things each session, depending on your body.

    • I am energetically sensitive, but my skill set is very much grounded in the physical body and how the structures move. As I assess your system for places that aren’t moving, it sometimes might feel like I have a magical secret power to read your body, thoughts, or feelings. I am just a really sophisticated listener to your tissues. As I ask you questions and as you talk, your tissues respond. I follow that tissue response. This is a partnership. We will walk together on your healing path and co-create your wellness. I can help things move, and you need to support that with what you do outside of our sessions.

    • Sometimes we need to add to the team. My scope of practice is as a physical therapist, and I am bound by my license. Though I can offer support in a variety of ways, issues may come up that are outside of my skill set. You may find other professionals you want to include in your care or I may need to refer you to other professionals as we untangle your issues. That’s ok! I fully support a team approach to health care and I am always happy to communicate with other practitioners. If you need me to communicate with someone, please email us both to introduce us and state in the email that you give us permission to communicate. You signed a waiver in your intake paperwork, but I find this extra consent helpful. I will continue to include you in our conversations so that you know exactly what we discuss.

  • How are you feeling after your session?

    • There is a wide range of things you might be feeling in your body about now. Maybe you felt great after your session and have continued to improve. Or you might be noticing that things are moving around or maybe new parts are talking to you, and it might not be so comfortable. This is normal and part of the process.

    • We moved your tissues in a new way, and now your body is processing and integrating that new movement, and everything has to adjust. It will change over time. Movement will become easier, and your body will become stronger. With each session, we will move you a little closer to feeling comfortable and playful in your body.

    • After care on days you see me: Some clients find that an extra glass of water or two on treatment days helps to minimize any reactions. You may find other strategies that help you more. I only have one rule that I’d like you to follow after a session: Listen to your body. If it’s asking for rest, give it rest. If it’s asking for movement, give it movement (unless I have specifically instructed you otherwise). I officially give you permission to follow your body’s lead and honor what shows up for you on how to care for yourself after our sessions.

    • If you have any questions, please contact me. I much prefer to address issues or concerns immediately rather than for you to become increasingly anxious as you wait for our next session. Texting will get you the fastest response, but however you prefer to contact me, please reach out if you are struggling.
